clean and healthy home

A Letter from Aunt Fannie’s Founder & CEO, Mat Franken

As my son reached toddlerhood, it became all too clear he was sick.

He became an unhappy little man, going from a happy-go-lucky baby to a tired, cranky mess. He began to have stomach problems, eczema, asthma, and mood swings which were uncharacteristic of his sweet nature. After persistent doctor visits and constant worry, we discovered he had extremely severe, life threatening food allergies.

So we spent the next few years overhauling our home menu, rolling through trial and error, eventually removing all processed foods from our diet. After more than a few cycles of menu adaptations, we hit a very big road block. My son had improved, but not as much as any parent would be willing to accept. Feeling completely lost, we realized that more painstaking work needed to be done to make him healthy.

Another year with little to no improvement passed. Only when we had exhausted nearly all of our options did we discover it wasn’t just the food we were eating, but also the chemicals being used in our home that were part of the problem.

It was in these days that Aunt Fannie’s was born.

Since our beginning, the team at Aunt Fannie’s has been dedicated to creating cleaning and pest solutions that are made from food based ingredients. If food can nourish our bodies, why can’t it nourish our homes?

Aunt Fannie’s mission is to reduce the use of toxic, unsafe chemicals, protecting our families from the dangers of conventional products. More importantly, we don’t just believe in identifying a problem, but feel it’s our responsibility to provide solutions that we can use to improve our health. This is important to me and my son. And I know it’s important to you and your family, too.

Aunt Fannie’s wants to inspire you to live clean, truly. And we know we can’t do it alone. We’ve been so fortunate to receive the support of some of the food industry’s foremost thinkers, and we have been backed by individuals committed to making a positive and lasting impact on the world.

But this won’t be enough. We need you. We need you to help us educate families about how they can improve their lives. We need you to be part of our Aunt Fannie’s team. We need you to share in our Healthier Housekeeping mission.

Our success is a direct measure of your support. Please join me in the next evolutionary step in cleaning and pest. We all have a lot of work to do…together.
